Feature Friday for March 2021

#EnviroTotesWeLove

Happy Friday! With the end of another month comes a new set of businesses that we are just bursting at the seams (see what we did there?) to share with you! Our Feature Friday for March 2021 features five USA based businesses that we think are worthy of your attention.

March Features

Fort Defiance – Originally founded as a restaurant in 2009, at the beginning of 2020 Fort Defiance switched gears and began operating as a General Store out of Brooklyn, New York. With so much to offer, their general store is stocked with organic produce, well-sourced fish and meat, fresh baked bread, deliciously prepared foods, rotisserie chicken, cold wine, beer, and cocktails, and more! For those looking for gift ideas, keep an eye out for kits and care packages Fort Defiance puts out throughout the year.

Indie Untangled – A space connecting buyers and sellers of hand-dyed yarn and fiber, handspun yarn, notions, and accessories. Indie Untangled gives you a space where you can celebrate and welcome the diverse world of fiber enthusiasts. The Indie Untangled community is for those who are looking for a resource that helps them discover special products and learn about the people behind the dye pots, spinning wheels, and sewing machines.

LB. Kitchen – Situated in Portland, Maine, LB Kitchen is a place where food meets functionality. Their days are spent around the kitchen creating, tasting, laughing, loving, and sharing. To them, food is life, love, medicine, and community. LB Kitchen has set out to tell its story through food. Where it came from, why we love it, why we chose it, why it tastes and makes you feel so good. Our favorite quote from them: “…we are not those kind of people who eat to live. We live to eat, all day and everyday”.

Terrace Books – A neighborhood bookshop in Brooklyn, New York filled with a mix of new, collectible, and curated used books. Under the umbrella of Community Bookstore, also situated in Brooklyn, the bookshops feature their own mascot. A cat named Tiny. Who funny enough, is so famous that he is even featured on the cover of a bestselling book in Japan!

This Corner – This Corner, run by owners Nozomi and Lee, features a full-service salon and curated shop all in one. While Nozomi wanted to create a space that combines a high-end hair experience with accessible price, Lee brought his concept of finding everyday objects that improve your time at home. And thus created This Corner!
